Dear McLain parents and families,
Our team members have been working across the day today to determine how best to support our students through this difficult and painful time for our community. Based on the supports that we know students will need when classes resume, we have made the decision that classes will suspended again on Tuesday, Oct. 4
We are continuing to work both with our district Student and Family Support Services team and with our community partners to provide support services for our students tomorrow. We are finalizing thse plans and will send more details in the morning. We will also post information about those plans on our school website at mclain.tulsaschools.org as we have that information.
We will also again provide meals for our students tomorrow and will share pick-up times tomorrow morning as well.
As a reminder, if you or your child needs support immediately, you can access around-the-clock crisis support free of charge by contacting:
COPES: COPES is Tulsa’s community response mobile crisis unit and can provide support by phone directly from the safety and comfort of your home. You can call COPES at 918-744-4800.
Crisis Text Line: You can also contact the crisis text support service by sending a text message to 741741.
I am keeping each of you in my thoughts and prayers and together we will grieve, support each other, and continue to show the strength of Titan Nation.
Principal, McLain High School
